Robert William Donaldson, 68, of Southborough, Massachusetts and Wantagh, New York, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Marlborough Hospital in Marlborough. He is survived by his wife Andrea of 34 years, and his daughter Raquel, both of Southborough. He is also survived by three nephews, Troy, Sean and Mathew Coughlin of Phoenix, Arizona.
Born and raised in Wantagh, New York, he graduated from Wantagh High School, Purdue University and University of Arizona, with honors, receiving a Ph.D. In biochemistry. He was also recruited by Stanley Cohen, a Nobel-laureate at Vanderbilt University to complete additional post-doctorate research.
Robert spent 30 years as an accomplished pharmaceutical director in Biologics for both Bristol Myers Squibb in New York, and Genzyme Sanofi in Framingham, Massachusetts,
He was a very caring husband and father, as well as a wonderful cat parent. During his retirement he became a master chef, and his family looked forward to events with him. He will be missed very much.
