Paulette (Goulet) LaCoursiere

Paulette Marie (Goulet)  LaCoursiere, 92, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 after a short illness.  She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond LaCoursiere for 61 years, and the daughter of the late Adelard and Albertine Goulette. 

Born on December 9, 1928, in Biddeford Maine, she resided in Hingham, for most of the last 50 years. Anyone who knew Paulette was instantly struck by her energy, determination, and kindness. Paulette was never a woman of half measures. When she met her future husband, she asked him if he had any girlfriends. He said “yes.” Paulette responded, “get rid of them.” He did. When she decided to develop a skill, she would focus on it until she succeeded with distinction. Paulette wanted to sew. She then proceeded to craft every stitch of clothing for herself and her daughter. If she saw something she liked, she’d make it herself. That pink Dior coat that Jackie Kennedy wore? Paulette made it complete with the pillbox hat. Cooking was no different; her family feasted liked like royalty. Paulette never missed a beat. Literally. Whenever a song played, she would mobilize everyone within range to dance and would sing along with pitch-perfect harmonies.  Paulette’s passions went beyond her family; she was an accomplished florist, decorating St. Paul’s church as well as many weddings and events.  Paulette’s talents and joie de vivre will be missed.

Paulette is survived by her daughter, Beverly Tuzzalino and husband Robert; son Cliff and wife Elaine; and grandchildren Nicole and Mark.  She is also survived by her twin sister, Marie Paul Neveux, the last of 8 siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

Paulette will rest alongside Raymond at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Friends and family are invited to the ceremony at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, February 10. We will hold a Memorial Mass and celebration of Paulette’s life in the summer of 2021 when we can gather safely.
