Southborough

Mary L. (Ferris) Rhodes, 58, of Southborough, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. 

She leaves her husband of 31 years, David A. Rhodes;   two sons. Christopher D.  Rhodes  and Gregory M. Rhodes both of Southborough; two brothers, Michael Ferris and Gerald Ferris both of Oneonta, New York; nieces and nephews. 

She was born in Oneonta, New York, daughter of Michael and Hazel (Nicklaus) Ferris and graduated from Oneonta High School and later from Hartwick University. 

Mary worked as a manager in the Human Resources Department at EMC Corporation in Southborough, before retiring due to illness.

Mary enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, shopping and most importantly, spending time with her family. 

Mary’s funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 11AM at Saint Matthew Church, 26 Highland Street, Southborough. Burial will be private.  Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 21st, from 4 to 7 PM at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham,  MA  01701.
