Louis F. Dakai Obituary

Louis F. "Sonny or Lou" Dakai, 72, of Southborough died on Saturday, January 16, 2021, after a battle with cancer. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Cecelia (Gannon) and Louis Dakai.

Lou was a graduate of Keefe Tech in Framingham and was a Vietnam Navy Veteran who served between 1965 and 1969.  He worked for Westborough State Hospital as a Certified Nurse Assistant . When the hospital closed, he moved to Arizona where he was also a Certified Nurse Assistant at a few different nursing homes in the Phoenix area.  Louis enjoyed hiking, fishing and playing softball.    His proudest accomplishment was being 31 years sober and a member of AA. 

He is survived by his sister, Rosalie Dakai of Phoenix, AZ.; and many nieces and nephews.  Sonny is predeceased by his brothers, Edward and James Dakai and his sister, Kathleen Pabon. 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all service will be private.
