Jeremiah McGillicuddy Obituary

Jeremiah D. McGillicuddy, 93, of Southborough, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

He was the devoted son of Daniel and Mary McGillicuddy, beloved husband of pre-deceased Edna (Samaha) McGillicuddy, and adored by his sisters Jean O’Brien, pre-deceased Dorothy Daly and Ann Graham. Jerry was a loving father and is survived by his children, Jerry, Kevin and wife Sue, Sean and wife Beth, Maureen and husband Bill, and 5 cherished  grandchildren.

Jeremiah was born and raised in Brighton, MA and served in the U.S. Navy reserves during World War II. He later married and moved to Southborough where he and Edna raised their family and lived happily for 65 years.

He was employed at NEDF and became president of the Boston Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ Local 534, a position he proudly held from 1961 to 1997. Jerry enjoyed spending time with family, was an avid Boston sports fan, loved to read, and listen to Irish music.
