Gordon E. Nelson, 90, of Merrimac, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21,2015  surrounded by his family.
He was the husband or Norma (Erlandson) Nelson who passed away in 2012.

Gordon was a Navy veteran, serving in both WWII and Korea .  In WWII he served on the USS Alabama and the USS Iowa and during the Korean Conflict he served on the USS Ross. Gordon worked most of his career as an operator at the Merrimac Water Treatment Plant.  He enjoyed gardening and was a member of the VFW in Haverhill. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Priscilla Millefollie and her husband Paul of VA; Clifford Nelson and his wife Jude with whom he lived with in Merrimac;  3 grandchildren, Benjamin Millefolli, Victoria Heithaus and her husband Matt and Christien Braccia.
He was predeceased by his son, Erlandson Nelson and his twin brother George Nelson.

A graveside service will be held on Monday,  December 7th at 1PM at the Southborough Rural Cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road, Southborough.

Arrangements are under the care of the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough.
