Dennis J. Callaghan, 67, of Oxford, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his home after a battle with cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Betty Ann (Peoples) Callaghan for the past 45 years.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Francis and Barbara (Tripp) Callaghan.
Dennis attended Algonquin Regional High School of Northborough and was a Vietnam Army veteran. He was a manager for AmRec Corp for many years and most recently an employee for R H White of Worcester. Dennis was a life time member of the VFW. He was a rare friend with a heart of gold and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Tanya Bozic and her husband Chad of Colorado; Barbara Gazeley and her husband Jason of New Mexico; his siblings, Thomas Callaghan of PA; David Callaghan of FL; James Callaghan of MN; Nancy Hite of Westborough; Dana Callaghan, Martha Callaghan and Douglas Callaghan all of Southborough; his adored grandson, Liam Gazeley; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 10, from 5 to 7 PM at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough
A Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 15, at 1:45 PM at Bourne National Cemetery, Connery Ave, Bourne, MA.
