Dawn M. (Peak) Mattson, 53, of Hampton, NH died on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Mass General Hospital after a short illness.
She was the wife of the late Todd Mattson, who passed away in 1998.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Betty Peak of Southborough and James Peak of California.

Dawn was a 1981 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School and lost her beloved husband, Todd when their daughter was only 5.  She was a devoted single mom who owned and operated a cleaning service.  Dawn loved the mountains, beaches and  all the natural wonders of New Hampshire.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Caitlin Mattson of Portsmouth, NH; a brother, David Peak of Dudley; a sister, Kristin Herther of Bedford; maternal grandmother, Alice Kavanaugh of Southborough; an aunt, Susan Kavanaugh of Southborough; 2 uncles, Lee Kavanaugh of Pelham; Jack Kavanaugh of Nova Scotia; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  

A celebration of Dawn's life will be held on Saturday, October 1st with visiting hours from 1 to 3 PM at Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH  

Arrangements are under the care of the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Southborough.
