Charles E. Gaffney, 88, of Southborough, died Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester.
He was the husband of A. Brenda (Smith) Gaffney, who were married for 68 years.
Charlie was very active in the Southborough Community serving on several committees which included the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and the Southborough Planning Board for 25 years.
He enjoyed travelling and spending the winters in Naples, Fl in his golden years and was a great friend and neighbor.
Along with his wife Brenda, Charlie is survived by his sons, Mark Gaffney and David Gaffney, both of Southborough, and his daughter, Susan Sullivan and her husband Richard of Naples, FL., all of whom became successful in their own way using the work ethic taught by Charlie.

Private funeral services for Charlie will be held by his family.
