Established in 1952 by Donald C. Morris, the funeral home remained under the direction of Stephen and Nancy Morris until 2022. At that time, Scott A. Johnston, a second-generation funeral director, took ownership, changing the name to Morris-Johnston Funeral Home. A licensed funeral director and embalmer, Scott graduated from the New England Institute at Mount Ida College in 1990. Since that time, he has served local families as co-owner of the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., in Marlborough.

Since taking ownership, Scott has established a relationship with integral members of the local community and is looking forward to serving families for years to come.
